Our Mission
Building operational readiness in the space sector — from classroom to command center.
Why We Exist
The RSI Mission
"Rampart Space Institute builds operational readiness in the space sector through scenario-based education, realistic tabletop exercises, and accessible training for the full spectrum of space professionals — from classroom to command center."
Space has become a contested domain. Adversaries are developing capabilities to jam GPS signals, disrupt satellite communications, and threaten the orbital infrastructure modern society depends on. Yet too many organizations — from commercial operators to defense contractors to the classrooms that will produce tomorrow's operators — lack access to realistic, operationally grounded training.
RSI exists to close that gap. We design education that matches the actual threats, the actual environments, and the actual decision-making pressure that space professionals face. Based in Colorado Springs — the heart of the U.S. space enterprise — we're positioned at the intersection of military, commercial, and academic space.
Founding Story
Built from Experience, Not Theory
Audra Peck is a Colorado Springs native whose career spans education technology, emergency management consulting, and the global space industry. At the Space Foundation, she led initiatives that drove over 200% revenue growth — giving her direct insight into how space organizations train, how they communicate, and where the gaps in operational readiness lie.
Her work at Vertical Skills Academy (K-12 ed-tech) and Assistem Consulting (emergency management) deepened her understanding of how organizations learn under pressure and how simulated stress environments produce real readiness gains. That experience informed every aspect of RSI's curriculum design.
Audra holds an M.S. in Principalship/Educational Leadership and a B.S. in Education. She founded RSI to build the training organization that the space community needed but had not yet created.
What Guides Us
Our Values
Operational Realism
Every scenario, every exercise, every curriculum element is designed against actual threats and real operational conditions. We don't traffic in theoretical frameworks that don't hold under pressure.
Accessible Expertise
The best space threat education shouldn't only be available to large defense contractors. RSI builds programs that serve individual professionals, classroom teachers, and enterprise organizations alike — with pricing and formats that match.
Colorado-Based, National Impact
Rooted in Colorado Springs — the heart of the American space enterprise — RSI serves clients across the country while staying grounded in the community that shapes the future of space operations.
